The FLARE – Pneumatic Building Facade System
Are you wondering about what is it? Today we will explain and introducing to you kind of ultra modern building architecture project called “The FLARE” designed by Christopher Bauder and Christian Perstl. FLARE is a pneumatic construction frontage organization. The FLARE system consists of a number of tilt able metal bit bodies. An infinite array of chips can be climbed on any edifice or wall aerofoil. Each metal fleck ponders the igniter. When the chip is tipped downwards by a data processor commanded pneumatic plunger, its side is shaded from the light source and this way appears as a dark peel. By chewing over ambient or lineal sunshine the individual flakes act like picture elements shaped by natural light.
The system is controlled by a figurer to mould any kind of surface liveliness. Sensing elements inside and outside intercommunicate the edifices activity directly to the system which acts as the buildings lateral line. FLARE changes state the edifice frontal into a penetrable tissue layer, unwrapping all patterns of unchanging control surfaces.
I love how it looks in motion but there’s something creepy crawly about breathless physical objects making a motion. I can’t quite put my finger on it.
