Cool Transformer Robots : Scrap Metal Bits from Old Cars
While many artists style their art from nature or other human beings, there are apparently other objects to be transformed into art form by creative artists. If you have ever seen the movie Transformers in the cinema, you would probably understand why Yang Junlin also known as the Steel Legend spent much of his time and his ten employees collecting crap metal bits from old cars and make them into gigantic mean looking killer robots more famous as the Decepticons and gigantic not so mean looking and not so into killing robots widely known as the Autobots.
The Transformers had been blowing people’s mind since the early 80s. Their design is so original that many people become die hard fans of the series. The Transformer’s merchandise and action figure are amongst the most bought toys in America. It is not something surprising that Steel Legend, a die hard fan would try and make these robots into life – well not that alive, but I suppose it’s better than just seeing them in the movies – on some different scale from what the movie depicts of course. These robots are designed impressively similar to their real design in the movies. You can see the hard work and intensity Yang and his employees poured unto the effort of making these robots.
The Steel Legend had started his own scrap metal sculpture factory to make these beautiful robots. As cheesy as his name he also managed to find a much cheesier name for his factory which he called the Legend of Iron. In this factory, Yang and his employees had made more than 1000 metal scrap sculptures. This is not an easy work since making these babies takes a very long time. Seeing how the metal scrap sculptures ends up though makes it all worthwhile.
